    Kill Bill, Vol. 1.

Now, if you hate the movie and think that's why I shouldn't buy it I really don't want to hear from you (at least not in this thread. :) )
But here's my question: Has anybody heard if Q will be releasing both Vol. 1 and 2 as one film/package? Would it be better to buy Vol. 1 now or wait? I hate buying a movie only to have a better version come out later. Thanks!

I haven't heard anything about DVD plans for Vol 2, but based on the skimpiness of the extras (performance footage of the 5.6.7.8's, Making Of), one has to expect a special edition to come out with Vol 1 and 2 combined.

I could be wrong, but that's a remote possiblity (in fact, the possility that I'm wrong is so remote, it's laughable). I say rent (or download) it if you must watch it before going to the theater for Vol 2, but I'd hold off on buying it.

A little off-topic, but Tarantino is considering a few Kill Bill spinoff ideas: http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/story/0,1259,---21123,00.html
But before he can work on the spinoffs, he'd have to shoot Inglorious Bastards and possibly Vega Brothers, the prequel to Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.

Before all of that he's directing a chapter of Robert Rodriguez & Frank Miller's "Sin City" this spring/summer.

I read in an interview that "Inglorious Bastards" is an immense story/script that QT would make into a trilogy, filming the whole thing at the same time. So that could take a looooonnnnnngggggg while.

And I'm sure any QT fan would love the Vega Bros. movie and QT has talked about making it, but I would bet it's on the backburner right now.

In fact I bet he would do the anime spin-off first as that's just writing and making sure the animation fits with what he wants.

I've read an extended article with his quote about Vernita's daughter's revenge where QT goes on to say they may start filming part of that this summer so he can use the young actress who plays the daughter for scenes before she's grown up and ready for revenge. If that happens then he'll have scenes in the can and the rest of that movie depends on if he decides to ever follow up or not.
