Hi Mike, It's USA Jay here from the Fulham messageboard. Don't know if you've seen any of my posts on the board, but I tend to show up every now and then. Only when I got something on my mind that is. Anyways, I wanted to know what you think of these rumours regarding Batistuta, JFH, and Smicer. If you were able to somehow sign all three of these guys, do you think we would realistcally have a chance at finishing in the top 5 or 6 next season? Personally I'd like to see them go after someone a lilttle younger, but then again, we picked up Collins John late last season and he's very green. Plus, we've got Elvis waiting in the wings, so maybe they're thinking that with a couple a vets on board, the younger players could learn from them. What do you think? Oh by the way, in case you were wondering, I support River Plate of Argentina. They are the main club I support with Fulham being number #2.
Well if those rumors came straight from Tribal Football you might as well put my name as the top signing for Chelsea because that is about as likely as Tribal Football talk coming true. But moving along... Batistuta - is he the batigol of years past? no. but i am sure that a 35 year old could score in the premiership, he has nothing to lose. - look at sheringham or zola. the big issue is that he was literally crap towards the end when he was at inter, so we'll see... JFH - I think he would be a good signing but I believe he is 50-50 amongst fulham's faithful. He would be on a free but his wages might be out of hand. Smicer - No opinion as of yet, I haven't paid attention to him at all so who knows. As for getting all three, very unrealistic but for arguments sake, we would be top 6. Hope all is well in Southern Cal.
