Hi sorry to sound stupid, but can anybody tell me what has happened to the team that won the Austrian Bundesliga last season. I have seen nothing at all about them this term not even on their official website. It is a bit of a mystery. Thanks
they went bankrupt and lost their license, and effectively got erased for existence. I believe they then merged with another team and became another team in the Austrian 3rd or fourth division, but dont quote me on this part ask olaf, he'd know for sure
Thanks for the info Treetaliano, I thought that it might be something like that. Still it is astonishing to think that a team that has achieved as much as they have over the past few seasons and would have been looking forward to Champions League football this season could go under just like that.
well it happened to my team AC Fiorentina, so to a team like Tirol isn't shocking. The only reason I knew a little about the Tirol thing was because Fiorentina and Tirol played each other in the UEFA Cup in consecutive years, 2000 and 2001...kind of ironic i thought...
