I'm trying out for three to four teams in the area and tryouts for one of them begins tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for giving your best in tryouts, and how to avoid the nerves.

Have confidence, #1, b/c without that you will get scared and screw up much more than with confidence. Have a good attitude and work your but off, coaches like good work ethic. Try to be nice to the players and form a bond so your comfy. Play it simple when in trouble...and just whoop ass...

Play to your strengths. If you're not a strong dribbler, then don't try and take people on with the dribble. If you're a great passer, then pass a lot. If you're good at winning balls...then do that. Play within your strengths...don't try and do something you cant do.
