You gotta admire the stick-to-it-iveness of a guy that makes a reasoned decision to pick the worst team in the league (and there's no arguing that point) and workin his fan mojo on them. He is deluded and sad, but entertaining. Of course, like most Dallas fans...the world would be better off were he to start swallowing hand grenades...but thats more of a long range goal.
It was kinda amusing in the beginning when he was ragging on the defensive '98 squad, but lately it seems so forced it's sad. Much like Burn fans themselves. Just sad. Good work Tino.
Who is that guy? and why does he have a column on mlsnet? that has to be some of the worst writing I have ever seen. It's not often that I want to stop reading a sports/ attempt-at-humor article 1/3 of the way into it. bottom dollar: Flynn = funny, personable and interesting Tino Palace = you went all the way to Europe and those are the best stories that you've got?
The MLS sure missed the boat on this one. Talk about what could have been a great addition to the skills contest.
He was the nom de plume of some writer for the MLS website. He wrote shitty articles that tried to be edgy but was really just pathetic. He liked the Burn and ragged on the Fire, but not in a way that actually meant anything. In short, Tino Palace sucked.
