Don't know if this goes in as a hyperlink or if you ahve to paste it, but not good news for Metros. Great news for Timmy. Looks like he is the leading candidate to go to France as part of the nats.

Freidel and Keller both look to be skipping it, for different reasons.

Yeah, they mentioned this on the broadcast yesterday. Does anyone know how long a camp Bruce is going to have before the tournament? I'm guessing that at a minimum, Tim will miss the home game against Chicago (June 14th), the away match against L.A. (June 21st at the new home depot center), and the away match against Chicago (June 28th).

Since Timmy has been with the nats, I'm hoping he doesn't miss the Chi game

I'm not too worried aout the Metros during National team tourneys because:
    1) Arena's going to go with an all-MLS squad. That means all the other teams in the league will be missing key players (e.g, Naperville - Armas, Beasley).
    2) US is in the "group of death" in the Confederations Cup. Lets be realistic and expect an early return.
    4) Argies are coming up this season.
    3) Two words: Bob fcukin Bradley. He got Naperville into the playoffs, and he had alot more WC players than the Metros.

For as much fun as people have had with the pants, Grafer is more than capable of filling in when Howard is away. He had by all accounts a very strong pre-season. We'll be fine.

Remember his last Metro MLS appearance? 3-0 at the Razor in a must win game. Granted, our team was playing like crap and the Petke PK didn't help, but it wasn't his finest hour. I think he's an average MLS backup, but our team will suffer without T-Ho, perhaps in confidence most of all. And, while we're at it, with Pope and Howard being gone at the same time, our defense could be in for a few spotty games. Grafer will be tested.

He isn't Timmy, but last year isn't a fair example. The team had fallen apart. Remember Timmy was in goal for the previous games and we couldn't even tie those.

I am more concerned with Pope and Mathis being gone, especially if Moreno isn't better.
