cual fue la ultima vez que el chorri hizo un buen partido por la blanquiroja? ahora no convence ni en mexico ni en la seleccion

yo diria que ya es tiempo de reemplazarlo. tenemos que aprovechar la copa america para buscar alternativos

well i wouldnt kick him out id keep him on the bench
    as well as mendoza

id try either cominges or garcia(not not you garcia;))
    in that position

or go completly crazy and put a 5 man midfield
    ciurlizza-zegarra
    soto-solano-cominges

the man that needs to be put out to pasture is jayo hes not earning his untochable status

thats the best game hes had for us in a long time he set up pizarro for the second

like i said i wouldnt wanna kick him out of the squad if he keeps performing like yesterday keep him in there

on a side note when he takes the field against venezuela he will have equalled hector chumpitaz record as perus most capped player with 105 caps

Yes, he did play better than average and did have the assist in Pizarro's goal... but then he also missed another clear chance for another goal. I think the factor in every player in any national team, on whether he stays or goes, is consistancy. Unfortunately Palacios is not consistant enough to be even considered in a national team. I think he will always have better than average games like he did against Uruguay but with that there will also come 3 other games below average, and that to me is unacceptable.

Palacios was a great player, thus the reason he will surpass Chumpitaz's record national team appearances, but unfortunately I dont think he never reached his capacity due to wrong decisions (going to mexico) and lack stability (personal and professional). For the most part, I think we, as Peruvians, are thankful that Palacios was around when nobody else was. And this is the main reason why he still in the national team, we just lack players that are capable of playing his position. For some odd reason, Peru finds it very hard to find a 10 to substitute Palacios.

So yeah, he's pretty good but not good enough... but he's all we have.

    Peru y tu?

He had a good game against Uruguay but in my mind he remains inconsistent. He's getting too old. Let's see if he can wreak havoc against Venezuela and remain consistent.

julio garcia is being brought along slowly by autori he is the obvious replacement, but so far hasnt really stood out when given the oportunity

quinteros had the skill but he stayed in peru to long he has stalled in his development and i dont believe he will get any better,

then you have the 3 young guns, but they need to show consistency in the apertura not just ocasionall brilliant plays

    cominges - 21
    sanchez - 20
    viza - 19
