Besides the missed trap(just a little rust), Scott Bower showed me more in 5 minutes than Russell did in 85. I may be wrong but it's worth a chance. Bower's first touch, he dribbled inside, beat two guys and played a nice pass to Graz. We need a spark at right mid and Bower could be it.

Guy doesn't play the entire year, it comes to the playoffs, the most important match of the year ... that's no time to bring in the guy who didn't play all year. That was hands down the weirdest sub Yallop has made all season.

I agree we need someone different, but this is the situation where Yallop's lack of subbing all year comes to bite him in the rear. Outside of DeRo (who must start), the players all have zero experience in real games. I would love to see Lucci or Barclay or Bower up front or Roner in the center, but they just don't have real game experience and without real game experience you are going to stink (or at least be inconsistent) just like Corrales and Robinson were late last year and early this year respectivly.

No, Yallop is going to have the same formation and the Quakes will end up with 2 chances on the goal the whole game.

I agree with you here spejic. He hasn't let the bench get the experience they need that will build depth. And Dwayne has to go in a lot earlier than the 83rd minute, which is when he went in last night.

Don't forget Roner and Bower has been getting some PT with the Timbers, but the quality of that competition is weaker than MLS and it isn't game time with Quakes players.
