Thats exaggerated by Henry Kissinger. Maybe he tries to promote soccer in the US.

helmet - I agree. That was a very good translation of soccer. Those that did not have a chance to watch Pele in action have only one option, which is to count on opinions of people that are trustworthy and watched him.

"Heroes walk alone, but they become myths when they ennoble the lives and touch the hearts of all of us". When I read extracts such as this one, or comments from his oponents and peers, or an article from the Times of London that says, "How do you spell Pelé? G-O-D", I keep wondering how good he was. A "guy" capable of stopping a war without even ask for it.

You made my day. You might want to check this out. http://noticias.uol.com.br/pelenet/. Just look at the left for "Pele.king". That piece is in English. If you are aware of other websites or nice things about Pele, please let me know. Enjoy!

Pele is the greatest person to play football in my eyes he is a football god, there is no way ne1 can live up to Pele's statistics, he's just to great.

Is it truth that even Nostradamus predicted the coming of Pelé?

Well, if he even predicted such a minus thing as Brazil losing the 98 World Cup to France, why would he not predict a much bigger thing in the great schemme of football as the coming of Pelé?
