We've talked, analized, insulted and talked some more about this game... but now all that talk is over, it's time for the 11 US players and 11 Venezuelan players to take the field and prove that all this talking is worth it. I, personally, will be in Venezuela watching the game, having a couple of beers with my friends... so I hope for a VERY VERY FUN match! I would like to thank all of you that have treated me with respect and those who haven't, I'd also like to thank you, because that's 'futbol' (or soccer): some respect, some fight... but we all feel it pumping through our veins... I'll be toasting a cold one in your behalfs and I hope you do the same for me and my other countrymen... Here's to hoping for a good fair game... CHEERS!
During the first half i was wondering why i missed this sport so much the last 5 months. Totally unattractive soccer which almost put me to sleep. But the second half sure as hell woke me up. Now that was some attractive and beautiful soccer. Buddle, DMB, and Donovan make for a very youthful, exciting, and athletic attacking unit. In addition, the defense looked great and Keller is a notch up on Friedel with today's performance in my opinion. All in all, very impressive 2nd half effort. I'm glad I stuck around. STRIKE FORCE 2006 - Buddle, Donovan, Beasley!!!
Amazing and Exciting for you guys, gruesome and terrofying for me except for Landon Donovan's goal I was honored to see that. I don't know where is Venezuela going to find the strenght to play versus Jamaica on Tuesday. Venezuela was not lazy defensively but tired.
USA only cares about USA, people, is useless to be gentle with them trying to get then into your team. They will never pay attention in anything else. That´s why they found "boring" the first and best half of this match (that didn´t have any football mood) (even when their team was wining!!) because it was played in USA. That was "Soccer". What a shite!!!
I've seen plenty of Friedel on FSW. I don't dislike him, but i maintain to this day that Keller would have stopped the goal that slipped under Friedel's armpit against Germany.
