Ok, we all know he's a legend, but he is, as someone on another forum would call him...a (unt. Notice how Ronaldo didn't celebrate his goal at all? Well according to a Man Utd fan on another forum, he had a go at Ronaldo for trying to chip the ball over Keller. When Ronaldo did score though he didn't even celebrate with the rest of the team, he just called everyone back to the center circle. Now he did the same thing to Fletcher last weekend against West Brom when United were celebrating.

Now come on, both players are young and will do silly things, but they'll learn. No need for him to go about killing the spirit of players. He's supposed to do the opposite and help them out. Besides, he isn't half the player he was anyway, I think it's time that Djemba x2 or Kleberson get their long awaited run in the first team(when he recovers from injury). It can't hurt us that bad because:

    1. I haven't seen Keane really make any key tackles in midfield

2.He isn't the same box to box player he was, so it's not like he runs the midfield.

3.The only way Klebs or Djemba will ever learn is to start, regardless of whatever mistakes they might make.

I think right now all Keane does is help close opposition down, give up free kicks, pass the ball around a little etc. Nothing Klebs or Djemba can't do, or do better.

Give them a chance and let the mad man cool down a lil bit.

Seems to me that if he tears the youngsters like CR of a strip all he is going to do is knock there confidence, and with Utd as they are now thats not something thats gonna help the club.

Though I think that a more prudent course of action would be for SAF to tell him to ease up, rather than just drop him. But as you say he's not at his best at the moment so there are other mitigating circumstances

So, Keane was the reason nobody was celebrating with Ronaldo?

Not sure I like that. Everyone knows Ronaldo needs more discipline. Not sure isolating him is a good way to do it. Ronaldo's already on his own enough because of his poor language skills. Would hate to see him be miserable and unproductive until he leaves in 2 or 3 years.

So that's why Cronaldo looked like he was on the verge of tears after scoring.

Its unfair to say Keane should be replaced... he's made our free flowing formation work due to his superior positional skills and instinct... If u say he has not made key tackles I don't know what matches u've been watching. Also, half of what he does goes unnoticed... when Gary overlaps who fills the RB spot to stop counters? When we cant seem to get the ball moving down the field who shows for the ball and then outlets it to a player with loads of space? Keane does alot for the team strictly as a player.

I agree that isolating Ronaldo is a bad idea, but like someone suggested, SAF should just tell him to cool it. I don't think Ronaldo's attempted chip was really showing off... the keeper was coming and had seriously reduced the angle and a defender was running in far post. I certainly think that its unfair to him for Keane to tell players to leave him alone.

Hopefully Ronaldo will be better for the experience but I dont want to see it happen again

First of all, these are men we are talking about.

Fletcher should have given it right back to Keane instead of sulking off.

Maybe that's what Keane was looking for - is there any fire there?

Keane sets the expectations on the pitch and it's his team, he's the Captain after all.

Ronaldo is a great young player, but he needs to know what is expected of him and Keane is there to let him know it.

Keane isn't an Angel, he's a Devil, and that's why people don't want to be lining up against him and his team-mates know to listen to him.

I can't see any reason to drop Keane. To suggest that at this time is lunacy. Like johno said he does a lot for the team still. Maybe isolating Ronaldo is the wrong thing to do, but there are loads of things he has done that I don't agree with.

The team is just starting to have some form, dropping Keane and inserting Dejemba or any other player on the team would not help us keep winning. Now is not the time and he has done nothing to merit being dropped.

I knew I'd ruffle some feathers when I posted this. Can't help it really, I'm a new generation supporter so I didn't experience what some of the more veteren and die hard supporters experienced, so maybe I'm not appreciating him enough. Oh well.
