    Hello from the Bay Area!

    Hey folks,

This is my first post in the Portland thread. My name is Al and I'm from the 1906 supporters group for the CA Victory. I wanted to find out which of the TA on BigSoccer came down for the last match here in San Francisco. You guys are awesome. I had a great time with all of you at the pub and at the match. I wish you could have stayed longer post match. Thanks for coming down.

Btw, I recognized lots of you on the FSC broadcasted game! You guys are HUUUUUUUGE!

Lastly, does anyone know the wearabouts of the Timbers-Victory Cup?

Re: Hello from the Bay Area!

I was down there - longhair with hand knit "Rose City" scarf (see my avatar). Had a great time and really hope the Victory last past this season, because Timbers away trip to SF was a blast (not looking good with Piterman news, sadly).

Go to talktimbers.com and ask there - I don't know what's up with the Pitcher - er, Cup, lol -- weren't there supposed to be a couple 1906 up here last weekend? Morgan (I think) said he was coming, but I didn't see anyone wearing blue...

Idea for the Timbers Army. If anyone can pull this off, it's your supporters. Your the most organized group I've ever seen. Look forward to hearing this someday. Cheers:

If you don't want to do the whole French thing, you can use an English version. Maybe something like:

    "Who do you sing for?
We sing for the Timbers Army
    "

....work with it....it's a great football song.

Dude we just cant lose. I listened to the broadcast on the timbers website today and it sounded like it got real sketch there for awhile but we held on for the win. I will definitely be happy with a point tomorrow, 4 pts would be a good tally from back to back road games within 24 hrs of each other. GO TIMBERS!!!

Jeeez US, who called out the goon squad?

I watched the match on USL live. A really poor effort by both teams but we got the points. Must be the humidity down there.

BTW I hope Josh Wicks is alright. Looked like he hurt his knee.

Ive just decided to become more active on other forums since its the silly season in england. As well i just recently moved to portland from corvallis. Ive liked the timbers for awhile now just had very limited opportunities to make it to matches.

I hope that Wicks is ok as well. From what ive seen first hand he is a great gk and has a commanding presence that benefits us on the field.

I still drive up to Timber matches from Eugene. I always have a great time at PGE park.

Wicks is pretty good at distributing the ball. He also has one of the best backlines in the USL in front of him.

RC Lens who play in France's Ligue 1. I don't know who they were playing.

If there's any supporters club in USL that can pull it off, it's the Timbers Army. :)

Re: Hello from the Bay Area!

I can answer the question about the cup, it's currently at our house (girl and groundskeeper) awaiting a name and listing of the scores for this year. We had a great time at both matches down there (girl and I flew down for 6/28 match, drove with others for 7/7 match). We had hoped to see some Vicks fans during the two matches up here, but didn't see anyone during the trip. We'll keep it around and hope to have a chance to bring it down next year to SF.

Oh man Saturdays game was so fun but its back to business this Wednesday. This is pretty much the game of the season for us. We are getting close to the business end of the season now. Nice thing is if we come away from Seattle with at least a point then we put Cali out of the running in comparison to us and would put us well on our way to a playoff spot.
