Nice play from Weah today; he's clearly having fun up front instead of playing on the back line. Wes added a bit of energy up front as he came on for 8 minutes to hold on for the win.

That seems like that is not the shape that group of players will take irl. It's like a double-false-9 thing. Very strange.

Villa has been in control most of the match

 

Weah is playing very well imo, all things considered, I know he has not seen a ton of the ball

 

How so? Juventus looked the better side in the first half imo.

Villa has not done much this far, except for the free kick gifts at the top of the box Juve keeps awarding them. They have been better in the 2nd half though.

 

Weah not getting much help up top. Meh game.

 

He’s standing still a lot. More comfortable running back on defense than trying to stretch the field from playing up front it seems.

 

Yeah he’s not a center forward. He might have less than 10 touches this game

 

The way Juve closed out that game was amateur.

Like, could one player make a controlled pass to keep possession? Could a single midfielder track back after a turnover? It was like they were trying to concede.

Deserved point for Lecce.

As to Weah, he may as well not have been playing.

 

Juventus take on Bologna with Timmy starting at left wing. McKennie not in the squad.

Already had to use a sub, taking out Cambiaso and putting in Rouhi, whom I've never seen in his few appearances at the senior level.

 

Weah early yellow tracking back in the defensive corner.

 

Ndoye have probably been the better side, and now they've nabbed the lead as Ndoye roofs one. 1-0.

 

Weah and Juve have picked it up a bit - Timmy with a couple of nice combinations down the left wing while Conceicao has started looking dominant down the right. But Fagioli but their best chance over the top.
