Just catching up ... Weah came on at 78' and helped see out a 2-1 victory over Bordeaux. Brief highlights ...
Scores! GOAL!! Tim Weah! The #USMNT forward/winger scores in the 3rd minute of stoppage time to put Lille up 2-0 on Dijon and seal a win!— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) December 16, 2020
Excellent goal. We've got our Weah back. What is that, one exquisite assist and two goals in his last 3 or 4 appearances.
But more likely we have an American on the champion of 0-1 of those. Bayern seems likely, but the rest are very iffy, and Richards may even get loaned out.
@Casper My point here is that, we have for the first time ever, players in competition to win every top league in Europe.
dang, he can strike a ball. Having a guy who can score from distance is a nice way to open things up and make the attack less predictable.
Kid put about 18 months of frustration through his boot on that one. That must have felt great. His teammates seemed to really show him the love after the goal.
I don’t think it was a bad ball, the ball to Bamba wasn’t on. The commentary on BT Sport is horrendous.
Brief Lille v PSG highlights. PSG had most of the ball and most of the good chances, evidently. Weah could have done better on the break (@2:25), but it was certainly not his fault. Great defensive play, btw.
