I checked the mail and browsed through the latest ESPN mag today, and there it was: a full article on Timmy Howard.
After reading it, I give a lot of credit to John Gustafson, especially his quote
"....he's the starting goalkeeper for the world's most famous club in the world's most popular sport, making saves of national importance in front of NFL-size crowds."
That's in the first few paragraphs, so I think a lot of non-soccer fans will realize something.... hopefully. Awesome imagery used to describe Sir Matt Busby Way in Manchester. Great insight, I didn't know that Seton Hall recruited Timmy to play basketball [they're a consistent top-35 division 1 program]. Really good job of describing the problems and non-problems that he's had because of Tourette's.
Of course, a full page ad for the NHL [and Powerade] interrupts the article.
    Overall, very worthwhile reading.

thats weird...I'm an ESPN Insider and I get the online version but I don't see it anywhere there. Is this the May 24 Issue?

Really? I don't know much about high school basketball, but do teams from across the country play each other? He did beat Jason Williams' team in a Championship according to US soccer.

yup, all the time. Power House High School program always go around the country to various bigtime tournaments.

But the real action is in the Summer League AAU tours and the summer camps. This is where the best of America's Youth play against each other
