I watched Tim play at the University of South Carolina and I am wondering - for all of you folks who have seen him play or are just "in the know" - how he's doing.

I've noticed that he's played in the second half of their scrimmages and he's still with the team, so he must not be doing too poorly.

Just looking for an update on a home boy...

I know most of you don't know who this guy is, but, like I said before, I watched hime play in college. He plays with passion and has an incredible work ethic. He will give whichever team he plays for 100% each and every game. I'm really pulling for this kid to make the team. Bradley obviously saw something in him...

The match report for the game against Dallas said that he hit the cross bar from 30 yards out...sounded like it was one of the better chances of the game.

Keep an eye on him...he may surprise you.

Are you sure that he is still with the time? The last roster that I saw for the Metrostars did not include Glowienka. (Furthermore, why on earth didn't Jordan Quinn, a Hermann trophy finalist get drafted?)

If Glowienka doesn't make the Metrostars, then I imagine the Riverhounds are a viable option, as they were the ones that drafted him originally.

Thank you for that restrained correction to my mistake. You really sound as if you are a winning fellow and carefully-measured person.

Then again, you could be counting the many trophies in the Metrostars championship case and looking down on me with the satisfaction of knowing that you have had a quality team througout the years, capable of overachieving at every level ;)

    Back to the topic...sort of.

Glowienka is still with the Metros and has been from since the draft.

I wouldn't include Jordan Quinn because he is barely an average player. Easily frustrated and disappears from the game because of it. He didn't even get drafted by the A-League, while Glowienka did. Sure the A-League would be a good option for Tim, but why not play in the MLS?

So I guess the answer is blind in this case...

Are you lost translating the Old English language from the twelfth-century epic from which you borrow your assumed name (of course, you knew all that literary history), or can you move on to modern English and have a conversation? Again, since you revelling in your disgust towards DC fans, please clarify whether you are busy counting the U.S. Open Cup, Champions Cup, or MLS Cup championships in the Metrostars trophy case?

I'm rooting for Tim, too, of course. And I see the point that you are making, and MLS is certainly gaining in talent, but why, for example, did, say, Ian Fuller gain a roster spot with the Revs last year, and Quinn, a comparable talent, not be given at least a chance at an MLS team before possibly going on to an A-league one? Moreover, I was even higher on Joey Worthen, whom you will remember from USC a year ago, but he wasn't drafted, as well.

Really? There's a twelth-century epic with the same name? Get out! I thought I picked my name based on the 1999 movie starring Chritopher Lambert of "Highlander" fame!

Fuller and Lisi may be considered to be more "athletic" than Worthen and Quinn (not my opinion), but I feel that Worthen is a much better player than Quinn. He's making his mark with Pittsburgh in the A-League.

Neither Worthen nor Quinn are prolific goalscorers and weren't exceptional in the passing skills. Glowienka is a defensive stalwart. He works hard, he plays hard, every game, no matter who you're playing.

Glowienka has more specialized talent and ability than Worthen or Quinn.
