Any reccomendations on best ways to get tickets to the Hex games in Central America. I am planning on going to Panama and am assuming there is not a Ticketmaster. Thanks!
Two ways. You can buy them when you arrive, perhaps from a scalper, or get a land or land and air package through soccer vacations. They get tickets from the USSF and organize a bus to get the American delegation to and from the stadium. It is really the only way you can be sure of being with the American cheering section. Some people have criticized this but the way I look at it, soccer is not such a big business in the US and we are lucky to have soccer vacations. Their prices are reasonable and the more people who go, the better deal they can offer.
How about tickets to the home hex matches? Any guesses on when venues will be announced and when tickets will go on sale? I imagine we're still months away from knowing anything for certain (other than the dates and opponents) about the home hex matches.
Soccer.Vacations is okay, as it's our only option <besides actually calling up US Soccer specifically> I used them to go to the Holland friendly last February and our tickets were not waiting for us when we arrived in Amsterdam like they were suppose to. Another person who we traveled with used them and his room was not reserved with a valid credit card from SV so he had to plunk down the deposit with his own cash. After a few overseas phone calls we got things settled and our tickets were deliverd to us the day of the game, though I wasn't 100% satisfied they still did a decent job...
If the attendance for this round is anything like it was for the semi-final round, you can buy them at the gate.
