Now you can see what others are paying for soccer. There are some really good deals out there, if you live in those areas.
I don't know anyone who has ever paid $34 for a Timbers ticket. General admission is $8 and season tickets cost $128. There are more expensive options, but general admission seats are among the best in the stadium.
If you notice there is a "/" before the $34. That is the price for the family pack. The Family pack usually consists of 4 tickets. But in some cases it varies.
Just want to add a couple of notes, I believe Seattle had the same Celtic-ManU deal as the Whitecaps. However I don't know what that has to do with the price of buying tickets, or why it's important to note. All it did is give you a guaranteed chance to order up to 4 tickets to the Celtic-ManU game if you bought 2 season tickets. Another thing to note about the Whitecaps season tickets is that this year the season ticket package did not include 2 pre-season games that they used to include.
It's a small footnote. BUt one that I would think most other clubs have something comprable to mention. For example, the MN Thunders season tickets are open dated. In theory you could use all the tickets on one day. I usually use them up between going myself and bringing friends. Plus, I don't think it's a given that they'll do it but in the past the Thunder have given offers after the season is over that if you renew before a certain date, they'll take any unused tickets from the previous season and prorate the new season ticket accordingly.
It's a footnote alright, but I just wondered why it's neccessary to include as the promotion has no bearing on the price of season tickets. Plus that deal only benefitted people who purchased more than 1 season ticket.
At the Impact, the reserved seating and GA have the same view of the field (opposite sides). 10$CAN for GA is a great deal (5$ for U18, probably 8$ through the Ultras). Also, the club does not offer GA season tickets.
In Montréal, the season ticket is for: - all preseason games (all free anyways) - 13 home games in Montréal (not the one in Québec City) - CanAm final on June 30th if the Impact is hosting - first 2 rounds of playoffs (ie not the final) if the Impact make it With 40$/5-game flexpasses for GA, the season pass is not very popular, or useful. Around 360 have been sold.
This season Rhinos introduced new Season ticket package. $65 for season ticket. Last season the lowest season ticket price was $120.
Single ticket prices for Battery games are $6-12. The $20 ticket price are for special events like national team matches, not A-League games.
General Admission (away from pressbox and where the jock rock isn't as obtrusive, not to mention closer to Mutts and his friends) In advance: $10 adult, $7 youth. DoG: $11/$7 Premier General Admission (pressbox side, closer to jock rock, parking) In advance $12, Day of Game, $13 (regardless of age) VIP Seating (Pressbox side, center of field) In advance $16, Day of Game $17.
VA Bch Mariners have a great 5 game ticket deal. Adults $45 and kids $25. reserved seats for any 5 home games. Great for those of us that looked at the schedule and saw at least 3 or 4 home games we wouldn't be able to attend. Plus, wheater may stop us from going to others. A great deal to see Roy Lassiter and Gary Brooks in action. And I understand the mariners jst signed Dante Washington.
The Seattle Sounders have a youth pass for $50.00 Youth 14-under can go to ALL HOME games with this pass. Seattle also is selling Luxury Suites/Boxes. For 10+ people at $280 per game. (That's $28 per ticket, less if you can round up more than 10) Quite a steal for your own closed-circuit TV, Room service, private bathrooms...not to mention the incredible view. Sounders "Charter Seats" are likely some fo the most expensive in the league: $22.00 per match. The Sounders Supporters Club has opted for reserved seats @ $12.00 per game, or a season ticket discount of $140.00 for 14 home matches.
Silverbacks' tickets are all General Admission. The entire center section is blocked off for season ticket holders (the two or three who don't sit with the Silverbackers). The ownership is continuing their "screw the fan" approach to the game. Either that, or they figure that if everyone comes to the pre-game free concert, and gets soused on the free beer, they won't care that they've gotten reamed. You can probably expect (though I hope not) that the 'Backs' home opener will be about as well attended as VA Beach's was.
Re: Re: Ticket Prices for A-League Can you refresh our memory on the ownerships "screw the fan approach"?
Re: Re: Re: Ticket Prices for A-League High ticket prices, no news about anything concerning the team, no marketing or advertising, abandoning the people who have been the team's bread and butter since the beginning (the families and youth--yeah, I know all the stuff, but they're the ones who buy, or did buy, the tickets) to try to attract a demographic that has yet to indicate an interest in soccer (the 20-something "party" crowd), "revolving door" policy on player rosters, need I go on? We don't even know who all are on the team for sure, and our first game is next Saturday. If it weren't for this board and their website (that we wouldn't know about if not for this board), nobody would know a single thing about the 2003 Silverbacks. They started this "best kept secret" thing last year, and obviously, they haven't learned their lesson. If the 'Backs average 800 a game, it'll be a miracle.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Ticket Prices for A-League I drove over to watch a few games last year and was apalled at the way they ran their operation. We showed up to the game close to 10-15mins before kickoff and it took us about 30-40mins to get in the stadium because they had only one or two ticket agents and the parking situation there is awful. The stadium is a drag. Huge slabs of concrete for seats and the field is one of the worst I've ever seen. That being said, I'm still going to go to some games this year, because its the closest pro soccer I have access to.
