Not total, but TODAY there have been 10k tickets sold for the conference final and it took my ticket rep 6 hours to return my phone call so I could try to get some tickets.

This information comes from my ticket rep btw.

Yeah, we all know what I think about flags and banners

I'm still up for paying for someone to make a giant flag with Dom's picture from his playing days where he had that mullet. :D

I left a message for my Rep as soon as K.C. won on Saturday, but I didn't wait to hear back from her, I kept calling until I reached her a little after 10 this morning.

    Re: Ticket Count

If that number is correct, we would need some serious "Walk Up" Sales to make 30,000. Looks like 20,000 to 22,000 is more likely to happen based on the 15,500 number. So what happened?

So far, the Houston Chronicle said 30,000 is "expected" as they said before the Dallas game

    Re: Ticket Count

Maybe people just weren't that impressed with the game.

Or maybe we should clam it down a bit. It's only 9 am, and although I think these numbers are worrying, there is still some time to go before pre-sales.

Add on about 5,000 from the presale number and you have our attendance.

Maybe the Houston - Dallas rivalry was more of a rivalry than anyone really knew. Either that or all of Houston decided to show their support for Rico :D

The Friday night really helped because the Catholics don't have to go to mass on Friday night, but they do on Saturday.

    Re: Ticket Count

Let me just throw this out there (although I don't know how much difference it made in the total for the game against FU FC.) There were several announcements before the game about tickets being given to different groups - hundreds of tickets in fact. Could that have had some influence on the big crowd???

    What?!!?!?!?!? Calm on BigSoccer?!!?!? :D

But, yeah, that's probably how you get to 20,000.

That and the fact that - as fans of teams that hosted the first leg in the last playoff round have repeatedly pointed out - it's much harder to sell when you have only week instead of two.

Anyway, we should definitely cancel the game if it isn't 30,000.

    Re: Ticket Count

the difference is also season ticket holders have to purchase the tickets and many people and companies buy them, for business an give them away.

With season tickets, people gave away tickets, shared them etc....and since people must buy tickets now and won't give them away like they did in the regular season games and first round playoffs....

as an example i know of 6 people around me ( always changing) that kept getting tickets from their boss.. ( they did not buy them..)

so people who are buying tickets will be at the game.. this will show more of an accurate # of who are the true fans....

We go to Church on Sunday you nut!!!!!!! Saturday is hard day for everyone because of kids and other stuff but friday is always open thats why so many people came on Friday to the game. I think this game should have been on Friday. FO office should have done a little more research and it would have found out that Friday is better then Saturday.
