Anyone else hear the Chelsea idiots ripping off our Vieira chant at Selhurst Park? It's hilariously ironic considering this was in the news about eight months ago:

    EXCLUSIVE
Portuguese starlet Tiago has revealed to skysports.com that he would love the chance to play for Arsenal. We brought you news last week that The Gunners had rekindled their interest in the 22-year-old Benfica star - after previously watching him in 2003.

Speaking exclusively to skysports.com - the midfield dynamo has confirmed he would jump at the chance of joining Arsène Wenger's outfit.

"To play in Arsenal would be a unique opportunity for any professional," the Portugal international revealed.

"I am happy in Lisbon, but it would be something to think about and almost certainly I would say yes."

Tiago added that he was not considering any offers at the moment and Benfica would decide his future.

"I don't know anything officially of any possible transfer, I have a contract with Benfica and it is they who must answer any interested clubs."

The young defensive midfielder - who has been likened to Patrick Vieira, admits he has been really impressed whenever he has seen The Gunners play.

"This year I have seen some games of the Arsenal on television and they play the best game in Europe at the moment," he added.

"They and Real Madrid are the best teams, but the advantage of the Londoners is that they do not depend as much on the individuals as the Spaniards do."

Tiago reaffirmed that he would love to be given the chance of a move to North London.

"To be next to soccer players like Henry, Vieira or Pires is worth all the gold in the world," he continued.

"I know of some friends who would pay for this possibility.

"English soccer is pretty for the spectator, but very demanding for a soccer player.

"There is a constant effort and an enormous amount of physical training, but I would be able to give it everything on the pitch.

"If Cristiano Ronaldo or Helder Postiga is playing in the Premier League, why could I not do it. My age is not a problem."

    Hilarious. :D

Truth be told we probably knicked the Vierra chant from somewhere else. Most football songs get reused by other clubs with the relevent names being changed.

Probably, but we know they would've nicked it from us.

Yeah, I heard this being sung last night during the Palace-Chelsea match on Sky...I see the irony but it's not as though he himself has asked their supporters to use it...unless of course he is just yet another bitter Wenger reject upset at playing 80's Arsenal football (1-0...) instead of the brilliant attacking variety :D

Spurs' fans were singing it for Postiga last season as well. It's nothing new

In other news, today Ronaldo once again stated how much he would like to play for Spurs.

Cue two years later, when we're taking all three points at Three Point Lane, Spurs are complaining that we "poached" Ronaldo who always wanted to play at Spurs.

As for the chant - I suppose you've never started an "are you Tottenham in disguise" chant? Even though you weren't playing Arsenal?

    Hilarious... maybe

what is funnier is the fact you probably read this article a half dozen times hoping that Arsenal would get Tiago.

I know you did not just pull this out of your pocket.

It's really not that difficult to find things on the internet. If you want me to find a page dedicated to having sex with dolphins I can do that:

    http://www.dolphinsex.org/

Or how about a complete database of racial slurs:

    http://www.rsdb.org/

It's actually down right now, but here is someone who stole it:

    http://gyral.blackshell.com/names.html

Finding an article on Tiago kissing the collective asses of Arsenal is really very easy if you know where to look.

No thanks on the dolphin page, but I hope you get your full use of it.

I am as a whole a little bit weirded out right now.

I guess my point is that at one point I bet there were some Arsenal fans getting all stoked about having Tiago, and that was probably one of the articles they read.

I don't know. But it's funny as hell. The main point was that it's not hard to find something on the internet. Why would we want Tiago when we have Vieira, Gilberto and Edu?

Yes as a matter of fact I have.
But I usually search for stuff I know is there. Like our friend with the dolphin sex site. He knows that is out there so he searches and finds it. My point is that you probably would not search for Tiago talking about going to Arsenal, if you did not read it in the past and know it was there. And judging how alot of fans are and how overexcited they get about rumours, I could just imagine our little thread starter reading this and going oh yeah lets get this Tiago guy.

But sorry you all were a little slow on this.

Last night got the "new Arsenal version" on the same theme tune, but for Cesc.
    "Fabregas" o o o o o.,
"He's only seventeen, and better than Roy Keane!"
    "Fabregas" o o o o o.

(At least we know (by changing the age) that we have that chant for another 2 years!!) (LOL).
