That is a busy badge, but interesting. No idea on the team, but I have a suspicion I'll end up doing some rabbit chasing when it's revealed.

Quite the night for the kids across the league last night. Also yesterday it was reported that college soccer will be played over both fall and spring semesters for men's D1 programs. I know a lot of folks don't like the draft but it seems to produce a few players every year and hopefully with more time to train it can produce a few more. One thing I heard suggested was that colleges offer courses for coaching certification as a class. No reason not to get more benefits from attending that can help in other ways.

I remember when this daily MLS news thread would only have 4 or 5 links. I don't know how much of the difference is your scrounging and how much is that there are just a lot more articles written about MLS things. Either way, thanks for continuing to put forth this effort EVERY DAMN DAY.

Apart from the draft there's also a lot of MLS homegrowns who play in college, at least for a while. I think this will be a semi-big deal. The breakneck schedule both made the playing style rough, and made sport and academics hard to manage. I think the new one will be a viable alternative for a lot of young non-elite but still solid pro prospects, a preferable one to toiling in lower divisions for low pay while you polish your game to get to MLS level. Will likely be that for foreign players too. A lot of Europeans who come out of an academy at 18 without a contract will prefer it to playing in a third or fourth division for the kind of pay where you might need a second job.
