Interesting comment from Don Garber about five new stadiums possibly opening over the next five years starting with Miami this year.

It's a video interview. He said they might have five stadiums opening in the next five years. Miami this year, NYCFC next year, Chicago in 2028, he believes Boston is going to get done and possibly a new stadium in a new market in five years. It is mentioned at the 6 minute mark in the video.

    Great!

    Thank you!

What did he say about why Apple’s ‘Season Pass’ strategy didn’t work?

The additional Season Pass fee restricted growth and limited eyeballs.

Gonna say FC Wil, wild guess.

Last I knew they were in the Swiss second division.

looks like expansion is coming within the next 5 years and entering MLS by 2031- we can assume its either a relocation franchise or # 31, 32 new cities as MLS will expand in two's

I can't see how they walk away from Vegas either as a new home for Vancouver or an expansion team with an owner willing to build a stadium on his dime.

I'm addition to the Apple TV subscription (though technically you didn't need one).

Somewhat accurate if you already were a customer of Apple TV. Somewhat inaccurate if you didn't care about Apple TV like myself. I must say that since they combined everything, I've watched a few shows and for me it seems like a good deal now.

I think Apple expected MLS to drive Apple subscriptions and they were probably disappointed when people like me subscribed to SP but not Apple.

Now I have an Apple subscription, something I never would have thought of if it weren't for MLS.

Yeah, I still see a lot of social media about "additional costs" or "double paywall" and it was never that. Its just that it didn't include anything other than MLS.

Now you get Apple too, or if you already had apple tis now free. And that is absolutely the better way to package it. But I bristle at the idea that somehow there was an additional payment for MLS. It was just a different payment.
