Wow, the atmosphere was great even though the attendance was only about 20,000. Though the playoff might had something to do with it, but I believe it was because of the thundersticks and the drums. It was awsome watching the game via mlsnet through Altitude Sports. Altitude might be the best locally broadcaster right with there with MSG.

I hope that the thundersticks and drums will be back next season. Oh, if you have broadband or access to a library with broadband, check the game out on mlsnet.

I'd just like to say that it is a wonderful thing LA fans can say "attendance was only about 20,000." That is awesome for LA, awesome for the league, and hopefully one day KC fans can say the same.

the commentators on altitude suck balls. but the on-screen graphics, high quality picture, and good camera work made up for it. it was a fun to watch game. That being said I watched the Fox Sports World version instead because I am of an elite few that likes Max Bretos. It was the altitude feed with FSW Audio.

Can't be worse than the SJ announcers that did the KC game. It would have been more exciting listening to Ben Stein call the game.

I watched the match on tv, and all I culd hear was those damn horns.
It sounded like a giant swarm of bees.

Can you even hear the chants/songs from the supporters over those blasted things in the stadium?

I'm surprised you say Altitude is the best local broadcaster. Not many people in Colorado agree. A majority of Rapids fans don't even get the channel because they aren't on cable yet.

A couple of things (worthless as they may be): 1 - I was at the game and you can never, ever get the same experience on TV. The thunder profilactics did definitely add to the atmosphere. 2- I also recorded the game and have so far watched a small portion of the 1/2 half. I agree the high quality picture is definitely awesome, the best I've seen the HDC look on TV. No matter you never, ever get the feeling as being there.
No. 3 - (Did I say a couple?) Yes indeed the commentators on Altitude suck balls.. as the previous gentleman/lady stated and they are probably 90% of the reason why you don't get the feeling of being there, excitemente (if that's ever possible).

Yep, me too. Saw the thundersticks, but the damn droning of those horns was dominant.

Not on TV and not if you're far away from the supporters sections.

It was MUCH better, hornwise. I love thundersticks now. Love love love. Kids bopping each other on the heads instead of making those horrible fart noises.

Yes, I know supporting thundersticks against plastic horns is like using the mujahedeen against the Soviets, but I don't care. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Signature material! Hope you don't mind; I'm already using it.

I prefer the thundersticks for another reason - you can still cheer while using them.

The horns, besides being droning, prohibit a simultaneous whoop.

    Thunder, thunder, thunder, thundersticks!

And I'm so proud to have the HDC register by far the best playoff attendance.
