Postponed game tonight at 6.15 CET. Braunschweig needs a win if they want to keep the slightest hope on staying in the league with being 10 pts away from rank 14. Reutlingen is direct rival, with a win they'd make the distance 11 pts for Braunschweig. After Thomas' poor performance last weekend he'll have to be lucky to stay in the starting formation.

Off the pine, Thomas with an 88th minute goal to put Braunschweig up 0-1 on the road...

    Local newspaper excerpt:

At the beginning on the bench, at the end a hero: Jacob Thomas... "I did not think about it a single second", said the forward. It was a typical Thomas goal. Eintracht team captain Jürgen Rische sent him with a long pass, a quick sprint, a dry and fresh shot to the short corner - and it was Braunschweig's first road win of the season. Braunschweig's Texas-Turbo: "I surely did not play good, but I scored." Not thinking when scoring, playing bad - and scoring the game winning goal: hopefully this works more often in the remaining games. Then the wonder of avoiding relegation might come true.

Too much thinking, that usually is a bad thing.
