Thomas started against the 2. Bundesliga leaders.

    1-1 in the second half.

0:1! Der Underdog geht in Köln in Führung. Thomas düpiert den erfahrenen Cichon auf dem linken Flügel, passt scharf und flach nach innen. Teixeira bedrängt Sinkala, so dass dieser den Ball über die Linie bugsiert.

Thomas had his cross turned into the net for an own goal.

    Ended 1-1.

Nice result in getting a point.

In 20 common Bundesliga years, Braunschweig just won one single point in Cologne before. Was a very good assist by Thomas again and he also had other dangerous scenes.

Does he play left mid or right mid?

Normally right sided, but he's played forward since Sambo Choji was suspended.

Think as a Cobi-esque player who can play on top, or on the right.

Havent been following Thomas's season too closely, but going over his kicker ratings Im kind of suprised that a guy that has been rated so highly on a team so far down on the table hasnt been playing more, and has been used as a sub so often.

    Anyone want to clarify?

He wasn't playing more often in the first season half due to injuries and a red suspension. After the coaching change, Reinders was a bit critical with him as they got other forwards with good names on their roster.

And compared to the last seasons he plays quite often (by minutes, not by games). Last year for example he played only 1 of 25 games over full 90 minutes (iirc). he hasn't that many injury problems as he had in the past.

Thomas rated 3 by Kicker (second best player on the team).
