Game just started seconds ago. Thomas starts as one of two attacking mids behind one forward.

15 minutes played, still 0-0. Braunschweig looks better without having real chances. As far as I can say (I'm reading, writing, eating and watching TV at the same time) Thomas is working quite a lot and has some good actions to the offence

Sets up Ri for a shot that isn't taken very well...

That's a polite translation :) Says "The agile starting Thomas is making his way on the right. New-captain Rische gets the leather at the box and shoots. But the word "shot" rather is an offence for this rolling ball.

Wow, Buffalo is relocated in PA ;) When did you move?

Sounds like he's having a good game so far--moved last month, Olaf. Writing gig.

Last 15 Duisburg took control of the game including a shot against the post.

Braunschweig gets stronger again, also due to several good actions of Thomas. Just in this second he attempted a bicycle kick from 5m, but missed the ball - there hardly would have been a chance to defend for Duisburg.

I remember that. Where's your CSN article from today? :)

Duisburg takes the lead, Kienle with a 18m shot in the 43rd.

Was a free kick for Braunschweig, Thiam - who just made the mistake at Duisburg's goal - wins the air duel, but the header is harmless. Duisburg's goalie is making two steps from the line to easily catch the ball, but suddenly you see a flash sprinting to the ball and sinking it with a header before the goalie reaches it. This flash was Thomas.

If being rated 2 by kicker, Thomas has chances to make the Team of the Day. First half is in the 2.5 area IMO.

Second half started. After another good scene of Thomas the announcer said "The small and agile American is having a great game tonight from the kickoff on"

60 minutes played, still 1-1. Game got worse. Almost every attack of Braunschweig involves Thomas, who btw is the player who remains in the offence when Duisburg has standard situations near Braunschweig's box.

The announcer probably wants to marry Thomas after the game. He's permanently praising him like "You can hardly take the ball away from the powerful Texan, who is very fast despite of his weight" (187 lbs, 5'8")

Still 1-1 after 75'. Braunschweig is better, but it doesn't look like they'll score another goal.

He'll have to fight the Kicker guy off.

Thomas leitet mal wieder einen schönen Konter der Niedersachsen ein. Doch Mazingu verzieht beim Abschluss aus halblinker Position deutlich.

80' Thomas substituted. "Great game, 80 minutes full power", said the announcer. Reinders replaces him with Sambo Choji, Braunschweig's most dangerous striker.

1-1 FT. Both teams had one further possibility to decide the game (Braunschweig with a 40m shot against the bar), but at the end it's a fair result IMO.

Post game interviews: Duisburg coach Pierre Littbarski is totally disappointed about his own team and continues "Congratulations to Uwe for the point in his debut. Braunschweig played quite well, especially no 9 Thomas". On the goal he said "Clear mistake of our goalie. On the other hand the striker was very good and comes with a speed that gets the goalie with the ball into the net if he touches him - but the goal was Langerbein's fault"

Thomas was the best player on the field, IMO. I was surprised to see him play 80 nearly minutes (after 77 minutes i made a comment that i can't believe that Thomas is still in). He should be in the Team of the day.

Good result (for my club) by the way and a good performance by Eintracht (fantastic compared to the other away games this season). Looks like it was really the best decision to fire the coach.

Next game at home versus Aachen, i predict Thomas to start again.

kicker rated Thomas 3.5 - this is really a bad joke. His performance surely was in the 2 or 2.5 area
