Souness said "20 million pounds", which is (I think) about US$32 million. And that's not per year, but a one-time transfer fee.
please read the article The quote was "If he keeps us in the Premiership, it's worth 20 million a year." Read it as the income from the Premiership vs. Division One, as I do, or however else you want, but it's certainly NOT the transfer fee he's asking for.
