I was about to smash something when we were about to lose when Donovan scored a goal and I... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLnWf1sQkjY"]YouTube- The Lonely Island - Jizz In My Pants[/ame]
I cried for about 3 minutes straight, then called my wife who is in Tennessee, who really doesn't like soccer, but is slowly coming around, and she said she was running around her hotel screaming. Every single time they show the replay I tear up again.
I think I woke-up the entire cul-de-sac. Why wife and daughter are none too pleased. Wow, what a finish.
I lost my mind. Lost. My. Effing. Mind. I also love how overwhelmed Commentator Ian Darke was...and that John Harkes was speechless for about a minute. There was SILENCE as the replays started.
That's because Harkes put down the headset and was jumping around screaming. You couldn't hear him but that's probably what happened.
Me too. And I was screaming dont call it back. I was sure the ref would pull some shit and call it back
I screamed like a little girl, ran three or four laps around my living room, scared the shit out of my dog, and then hyperventilated and cried. Pretty much everything since then has been a blur...
I think that was one of the best experiences I've had watching a USA game despite being at work. I've been explaining the world cup to a 60 year old redneck coworker since the WC began. We were both standing right in front of the TV in the office. I was on the phone with a salesperson and I accidentally threw the phone across the room when we scored while jumping up and down. It was great my co-worker was cheering I was jumping up and down and screaming!!! Went and picked up the phone and the first thing the salesperson said was "Did we score?" all I could say was Holy Sh*T
I missed the actual goal because I thought the cross had been cleared. Then I heard "goal?!" from the few people in the restaurant I was at. That's when I started screaming, running around, knee slides, and just general giddiness. What a f*****ng moment!!!!!!
I jumped in the air fist first, about punched a hole in my cieling. Then ran like 6 laps around my living room, and kitchen.
I cried, came home and watched the replay on my DVR and cried again. What an emotional rollar coaster. I think this was the best US game I have ever watched.
