Gateshead is the keenest part of the Empire. Well, mebbe not the Empire, but Great Britain, surely. OK, not all of Great Britain, but at least England.

Alright, alright, not the whole of England, but the best part of the Northeast.

    ( notice i didn't say hole of England )

A buddy of mine met a Geordie named Martin in St. Germain summers past. He invited him to the States. Martin spoke a lot of English, but preferred Geordie when drinking at full pelt, pallatic, which was the rule. I have a good sized record collection and the first thing Martin said to me was "Yer fancy Whitesnake?", but obviously with the Tyneside accent. I thought he was insulting me.

:D Theres nothing wrong with the Geordie accent. Women abroad love the way we speak. Winner all round, especially for that lucky lady. Sing her Des O'Conner records all night, she'll love it.

twern't Geordies, mate. they speak Anglisch, more related to Dansk or Norsk than the later development, English. but you know that.

ever read Plague Dogs by Richard Adams? there's a fox in the book wot speaks Borders or sumpin like it.

those pesky Norsk were the first marauders in what is now N'Umberland, and many Geordie words derive from old Scandanavian roots.

'gannin yem' is the same phrase, so i'm told, in Dansk or Norsk.

german is obviously related to, as a cousin (?) to Norsk and Dansk

Rep is too valuable just to be thrown around. Rep has to be earned. And since your black & white, you've fvcken earned it mate! :)
