Ok so I am a fan of Real Madrid, mainly because Roberto Carlos is one of my favorite players and I love watching him play whenever I can. However I am trying to take intrest in the EPL because I find it a little easier to follow (english) and I also plan on finishing school in England within the next 2 years. But i cannot see any of the games really because I do not have Fox Sports Net. Are there any unbiased websites or anything where I can read about clubs or players or any sort of thing like that? This thread may sound confusing and for that I apologize but I could use the information you all have. Thanks.
ESPN's soccernet is a great website with loads of info at: http://www.soccernet.com The Sporting Life has awesome live match reports on EPL games and even posts pics of the games as they are goign on: http://www.sportinglife.com and My favorite site Football 365 has rumors, humor and all kinds of other great stuff for the English Footy enthusiast. http://www.football365.com also all of these sites have great English reviews of Spanish games, as does the official Real MAdrid site.
Check out the club profiles on Premierleague.com and see which club suits you. Or, follow a lower division team. The team you support doesn't have to be in the Prem.
Yeah all those sites are great. There's loads of info (in English, of course) on the Prem. It's definitely the easiest league to keep up with for Americans.
Instead of arbitrarily choosing a team who you have never gone to see and have no real connection with why don't you wait until you actually go to England and then support the local team. And as a student, if it's a lower division team you might actually be able to afford to go to alot of matches. In the mean time just because you don't follow a team doesn't mean you can't watch the prem.
