A freind just sent me an email copy of a thread on some TFC board - not BS, apparently. They're trying to come up with ways to cover the Crew awning on the south end: I know there's been talk of covering it with banners, but I'm pretty sure Crew staff will make us remove them as soon as we put them out. So I had an idea We each bring 1 red streamer. We've got 7 weeks to get 1 each. At kick off we throw it. First off 1100 people throwing a red streamer all at once will look pretty cool. Secondly they'll all fall on the awning and cover up the God awful black and gold with RED. Also since it's a tent/awning they won't be able to send staff out there to clean it up.. They'll have to wait for the end of the game and retract the aawning to get the plies of streamers off. Apparently the little twats are all excited about this idea. I propose we just beat shit out of them.
I guess they've never heard of that new invention called a "stick" in Canada An amazing tool a stick is, see you can reach places you can't get to using a stick. There's also this thing called a ladder, but I don't want to get all technological on them.
Well they still havent figured out that cars move faster than horses so it would be a good idea to put the police in cars and not on horses.
Could be a few more than the 1100 that already committed to coming down for the game. That is a lot of streamers. Should be one heck of a party. The club now is getting in to the act. Columbus/Toronto FC Season Kick Off: Road Trip Madness!! One word. WOW. We’re so amazed with the unbelievable passion and dedication that our Supporters Groups show us time and time again. Creative flags, loud chants, great atmosphere and a commitment to watch TFC play – whether it's near or far! In case you haven't heard, the Supporters Groups have spent countless hours planning a road trip to Columbus on Saturday, March 29th, which is right around the corner. So far, they’ve confirmed that over 1100 fans will be making the trip across the border. To help make this event even bigger, we want to get even more bus loads making the trek across the border. PROWAY Tours is handling all the administration of the event and the package costs $90.00 - that includes a bus ride there and back, and your ticket to the game. These buses will be meeting up with all TFC supporters for a tailgate outside Crew Stadium before the game.
If we had 1100 people going to an away match wouldn't we of tried the same thing? It wouldn't of worked because everyone hates one another, but we still would've tried.
Not looking for trouble, but when you start talking about beating up people you have to know that stirs emotions. We will have a lot of supporters who won't need much of an excuse to go off. You touch one of our banners, that will do it. By the way I don't give a flying Fu*ck about streamers, I think they should outlaw the things.
Good grief! I'd imagine that there's quite a few Toronto fans who don't hang out on the Red Patch Boards or the U-Sector boards, but now that the club is officially getting involved I'm sure the number of away fans will only continue to grow. Any Crew fans who don't make the 5 or 10 mile drive to Crew Stadium to support our team on opening day ought to be ashamed of themselves, considering how many people are coming from so far away to support a team that was worse than the Crew last year, and has made fewer player moves than the Crew so far this offseason.
I just keep remembering that they are coming to our stadium with over 1,000 and are going to really help our attendance and raise a lot of money for the Columbus economy. And also, an easy home opener win for the black and gold. I could care less about the streamer thing. Let the little TFC girls play with their pretty streamers while were kicking their asses on the pitch.
We come from the English Hooligan Tradition, no weapons, just fists and feet. But we know how Yanks love your weapons, especially the massive ones you can't find.
I'm confused now -- does that mean we have to play a team of Englishmen and Native Americans while the Canadians watch?
You would figure after a while TFC fans coming on the Crew board would go out of fashion. TFC fans fighting woo scary yawn, this is MLS not Poland, doesn't happen.
Is it possible to put a ban on anything TFC related until say March; the actual month of the game? Sure would save this board a lot of headaches.
Be warned that most forum moderators don't take too kindly to hool set up talks, overt or subliminally. And for the record a real hool wouldn't be 'bout it bout it' behind a computer screen. If you wanna talk that yang behind a screen go to Yahoo Games or something. If you wanna throw down go find an Mixed Martial Arts gym so you can get your beat down by 'Les Quebecois' MMA fighters.
aww... 2yo's..... they're so cute at this age.... you know.. if you kids act like that, we'll have to put you in time out. ya know.... Customs...
hmm. people from a foreign country threatening to hurt Americans on American soil. Hmm. Send all the f*ckers to Guantanamo Bay and let them rot. They like to bugger sheep up there don't they? I'm sure we can round up some of the baa baas to keep the hardasses company for a few years.
