I'm very hopeful that Carv will become a key player for us - maybe not a starter but an impact sub maybe this year, given that Diaz and (surely on the LW) Cody are ahead of him. he's definitely talented. the only niggling doubt I have about him relates to his attitude. I could be way off (hope I am) but it seems to me that there's a real ego / attitude there, which will need managing carefully.
I thought he worked hard in the last few games to get back and help Kostas out, don't might a player with a bit of an ego so long as their attitude on the pitch corresponds to that of the rest of the team.

Taking of youth prospects, what did happen to Bobby Duncan? EDIT: He’s plying his trade in the Spanish 4th tier
Last I heard, he’d bought himself out of his contract at a Spanish non-league/semi-pro/4th division side with the intention of establishing himself at non-league level in England. April(?) or so.
If there ever was a cautionary tale about not believing the hype … Oh, and his agent was an utter bell. Even the borderline perceptive amongst us could see the car crash coming.
Maybe he didn’t buy out his contract in Spain then? Thought I read he had. Agent was in court recently charged with fraud, intimidation, threatening behavior etc. He beat the charges.
Duncan Ecclestone Morgan Ngoo Sinclair Brewster Woodburn. A lot of players that tore it up at the academy went on to have nothing careers. Let's hope it turns out a bit different for Danns.
Ah okay , looks like they've changed some rules after Brexit. June 14 (Reuters) - English clubs will be able to sign a specified number of players who do not meet the points requirements for work permits after the interior ministry approved new criteria for international player visas, the Football Association said on Wednesday. The new Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) Criteria, effective from the opening of the transfer window on June 14th, will allow Premier League and Championship teams to sign up to four such players. League One and League Two teams will be able to sign two. While the main points-based system will remain in place for the majority of players coming to England from overseas, the new solution will provide additional access to international talent which falls outside the current GBE criteria, the FA said. Interesting little rumor. Solanke has both a buyout and a sell on clause in his Bournemouth contract. £65m and 20% of everything over his initial purchase price. Spurs are seriously sniffing around and it’s thought that they’ll have to go the whole hog and pay £65m. (Maybe more?). After all the mathematics are done and if it is £65m, Liverpool will see £9.5m. Not bad.
I'm back from whatever hole I've been living in for a while to ask this esteemed board its opinion -- what do we think of Gallagher, since Chelsea are so desperate to shop him? It'd block off an academy player coming through, and I think we've got considerable depth in the middle, but also seems like an opportunity that shouldn't be passed up. Tidy home-grown qualifying players with an engine are always welcomed. We can also count on Jones or Gravenberch to be injured half the season. Do we really want to leave our midfield depth after Endo/Macca/Slzo, at maybe Bajectic, Gapko, and Carvalho?
But Barcelona are supposedly trying to buy Nico Williams. Wouldn;t Diaz cost more? Or maybe they are now valued about the same?
I’ve always rated him since he had a glorious season on loan at Palace. As @speker says above, as much as I rate him, I don’t see him fitting into our present set up. Wish it weren’t so, but there you go. I did read somewhere he was on his way to Atletico which was definitely a surprise. In truth, it should have been Gallagher United should have bought rather than Mount.
Leicester City enter the race for Fabio Carvalho as talks start for former Fulham player. Southampton had bid rejected by Liverpool last week. (FRomano)
I've been a lawyer for nearly ten years! I'm so touched you remember Newterp. Met my wife in law school, got married, we had our first kid a couple weeks back too. Its great to see you and all the other regulars still here. I'm working from home more now, so I figured I'd get away from the knee jerk doofuses of reddit and have some more informed conversation about liverpoool, like, Why not liverpool sign messy?
