Gent youngster Momodou Sonko is being followed by Liverpool “closely”, with the club hopeful of a “mega offer” for the 19-year-old.

Premier League pacesetters Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners to land highly-rated Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing 21-year-old Hungarian international Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

Liverpool are interested in bringing in Lyon pair Malick Fofana and Rayan Cherki to strengthen the team’s wide options amid uncertainty surrounding the long-term future of talisman Mohamed Salah.

Eh … Real Madrid want to be respectful to the Merseyside club, haha haha. And talkSPORT falls for that.

Kerkez looks the real deal. Watched him closely in their match over the weekend.

    Semenyo is Adam Traore v2.
All muscle and speed, will be figured out.

Real Madrid have made contact with Portugal full-back Diogo Dalot, 25, and have been told Manchester United would demand £41.5m. However, Liverpool's England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, 26, remains the Spanish champions' priority. (Relevo - in Spanish)

Egypt winger Mohamed Salah would accept a new one-year contract at Liverpool but the 32-year-old is increasingly exasperated by the club's handling of negotiations. (Athletic - subscription required)
[I think this being leaked is a good sign - frustration setting in, could push to finalize a deal?]

Paris St-Germain have not held talks with Salah despite being linked with the winger. (Sky Sports)

I'd be very happy with 2 years tbh. that'd mean a revisit of the whole thing next year but so what. he and the club would be in a better position to assess if he's still worth it or if "his legs have gone".

in fact if we came up with a 3-year that gave both sides a reasonable risk-vs-reward balance (not saying that is easy by any means) do that!

it's pretty damn apparent he really doesn't want to leave. unless FSG are stoopid enough to want to move him in January - get a fukking deal done now!

FSG are at their worst when they revert to being financial analysts in situations like this.

2 years for Mo (and Virg) makes sense for all parties. Take it to the World Cup then everyone can re-assess.

Hopefully they both give Slot time to adjust and plan for their departures instead of just a first year rug-pull.

Trent unfortunately just seems gone. The thing he was filming that some social media jumped the gun on and alleged was about a new deal announcement... that already released.

I do believe the club wants to keep all three but it is a business at the end of the day the devil is likely in the details with each of them.

just the usual clickbait. some ppl interpret "made a contract offer" as a formal document changing hands. could be that of course but it could just as well = a verbal or email discussion that goes nowhere.

and, even if it is formal / on paper, that doesn't = it contains a deal that Virgil has or will agreed to.

    (I'm deffo in manage-my-own-expectations mode today. )

At a minimum it probably means Salah can't keep coming to reporters and saying "they haven't offered anything yet" for much longer.

Some on the interwebs are saying (therefore, it’s true) that Mo has more or less agreed to a one year extension with a second year extension looking very likely on both sides.

The InterWebs! Where truth goes to be expanded.
