exactly- if he played much (and then) if he made the prime time at Barca we would never get him back IMO.... this works wayy better
It's a total guess..... based entirely on the idea that .... basically we've got 2 days to sign a big style multi defender - or keep the one we have who fits the bill ....
Branthwaite would be a good pickup if Gomez does go. Would prefer Hincapie but we do need some homegrown bodies in the team.
There is a player in there. But he's simply not athletic enough for a team that plays at our standard in this style. And doesn't have the overall talent for us to build the system around him. He can go elsewhere and have one helluva career as a leading light for Fulham or Brighton.
They have told him he's free to go as we have targets lined up behind him. For another club, you get an English international who is (seemingly) hungry to leave Liverpool to prove himself a leading player in the league with regular starts. For us we get all that sweet sweet net profit on a player who can play four positions but starts in none if everyone is fit.
I love Harvey... but there's no real path forward for him in this team. If Mo leaves will he stick around to play some cup matches as backup RW? Seems like he could do well in that role, he did just last season IIRC. But yeah, can see him moving on. Maybe next summer.
I really had hope for Baj making an impact this season Still hope he gets some time with us at some point…
I guess the thinking is that he’s only 19. It’s a huge ask to ask any 19 year old to play a role on a team who is competing to win the Premier League and Champions League. Especially when he’s missed over a year with injury and plays in one of the most demanding positions on the pitch. Hopefully the club still have high hopes for him and that this loan is just meant to further his development. Since it seems to be impossible to find a good #6 in the transfer market, looking after Bajcetic’s development could prove very important. He gets to work with a coach who knows him better than anyone and who knows better than anyone what is required to make at Liverpool. He gets to play in a team that we have bought many players from before, who dominates in their league, and who will be in today’s Champions League draw. It is an ideal situation for him.
Liverpool complete signing of Federico Chiesa from Juventus for a guaranteed fee of £10m. There is also an agreement for Liverpool to pay up to £2.5m in add ons, which is dependent on the club winning the Premier League and Champions League.Chiesa has signed a four-year deal and…— paul joyce (@_pauljoyce) August 29, 2024
Just watched a short on YouTube... The guy looks like a kid in the Red candy store to hold his shirt up... I haven't seen someone look so happy signing for anyone in a long long time.. He might just end up surprising us a lot.
I bet he’s thinking “What the f* is that collar”? Such an awesome transfer - he’s gonna win over the doubters.
paul joyce @_pauljoyce Liverpool have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for Caoimhin Kelleher . Offer well below Liverpool’s valuation and the club was not looking to sell.
I bet it has something to do with the rise of Trey Nyoni... If Nyoni has jumped ahead of him in the midfield pecking order, he's best off trying to get some minutes on loan in another team.
He needs lots of minutes after 1.5 seasons of injuries which he can't/won't get here. Sending him to Salzburg is key - to work with a coach that trusts him too. All reports say he will be back.
Liverpool have turned down an approach from Bayer Leverkusen for England Under-21 midfielder Tyler Morton, 21.
Alan Valera supposed to be in the process of signing for us. Porto captain. 23 DM Argentinian. release clause 65m Euros. -- all I can tell ya. never heard of him up to 3 mins ago,
I think that’s a bunch of desperate reds putting two and four together to get 10. Dunno who he is either
