Since 1930 El Salvador has been in 2 world cups. They didn't win a game in either, and in 6 games scored 1 goal and let in 22. And remember that the entire team was made up of 'studs'. Oh but they are too small right??? Well they are 2X the size of Uruguay. But they are kings of Concacaf! They have won nothing since its formation. Kings of Central America! They won 1 tournament in 1943 (where they hosted 4 teams and won by goal difference). Why do I bring this up? Because your endless talk about El Salvador streetball 'studs' and Magico Gonzalez has no place in a conversation about US soccer (which this board is about). Now if someone was endlessly talking about Brazil or Germany and how we can mirror their success then that COULD have something to do with US soccer. But this talk about El Salvador is pointless. They have done nothing. They are a poor footballing nation by every standard. Sure Magico Gonzalez was a good player and Maradona said nice things about him. Fine. but whats the point of constantly talking about this one guy? What does he have to do with soccer in the US? Its not a personal attack, its an honest question.

I've never been to Brazil, Spain or Germany, but somehow I have a pretty good idea that they produce good soccer players. Guess how I know that?

Junior Flores is from my neck of the woods. And like most of the Hispanic kids around here, he played in the same youth soccer system that the gringos and everybody else in America you look down on.
