Have you seen the Metros midfield lineup? (I was just reading Connelly's article on Vaca)

Guevara, Gaven, Ricardo Clark, Vaca and Mark Lisi. Bob Bradley must wake up every morning and take a deep breath and just smile. So much talent, and so young. While our midfield is talented, whats to be said about youth? Beckerman is it.

You have never seen me type anything about firing Hankinson, but this just makes me sick.

HE IS A MORON AND I DON'T SEE ANYTHING CHANGING UNTIL HE IS GONE

hankinson's problem is that he doesn't sub the older players when they indeed need to come out and he also won't let the players be creative and just play.. He restricts the play....This season the teams that are using the younger players to keep everyone fresh and skills sharp but also to give competition for spots are the teams that are going to go the furthest. As I can see from this season -there is no change from last season..

Nothing to say about Hanki that already hasn't been said 180 times here.

Tonight, my son and I were sitting in UNO watching the Av's and a commercial for the Rapids came on. During that commercial, I watched a couple of those fantastic goals that Chris Carrieri scored last season. I was remembering that ball he took out of the air with his left foot and buried in the net. There are a lot of things that raise my ire about Tim, but of all these is his inability to relate to players, inspire them to play instead of inspiring them to rant. Chris didn't have a good year scoring last year, but his talent was too much to just let him go without even some good Pokemon cards in return. Watching KiKi build the Nuggets into a competitor leads me to make similar comparisons to the Rapids. Are they building anything here! We play each match as though it was the only one in the season. There is no plan. We have some talented but old players who are going to be gone and who will replace them. Probably some other old players. If KSE really has a long term plan that would lead them to build a stadium here, then it is way past time to have a plan for a real team to play there. I don't mean this as a criticism of the current team because I will scream and yell in support of them every minute of every match, but I do mean it as criticism of an organization that just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. 'Nuff Said!!! :(

I'm not sure going off on Hanki right now would be anything but a redundancy of what has already been said on this thread. We all see his weaknesses, you'd think in a 10 team league, it wouldn't be quite so easy to hide.

There has got to be better coaching talent in America (or foreigners that could come here and do a good job). Is it just that Div. 1 coaches know that they have it good and aren't willing to move up to the MLS???

Last night during the Nuggets game, the commentators were talking about KSE's management and ownership skills and how Uncle Stan has the ability to really look at a sports organization, make the necessary changes, and inspire every single person involved from the very top down. He gets involved in making sure his teams are going in the right direction.

Look at KSE's teams... AV's always a top team in the playoffs with recent cup win, Nuggets from last season's disaster to playoffs this year is the biggest turn around in NBA history, the Mammoth is the team to beat in NLL and won it all last year, and the Crush did an about face from last season.

Let's hope this trend spills over to the Raps. If KSE is truly this capable, Hanki should be on a very short leash and hopefully Stan won't hesitate to give him the early boot if he keep making stupid decisions.

You make a good point that KSE's teams do have a solid record of success, although the track record isn't really that long... (Doesn't Stan own a part of the St. Louis Rams as well???)

I'm optimistic that KSE will turn this franchise in the right direction, and with a new stadium on the way and this season already underway, it may be a year or two before we really see the fruits of KSE's ownership of the Rapids. Still, I'd love some hardware to show for this year, and players we love like Spencer and Chung may not be major contributors in a few years time.

Well, if Stan the Man is considering firing a coach that actually, you know, improved the team, then what is he waiting for with the Rapids and the Wank?

Do you honestly think Stan even knows who the coach is?
It is not like he runs the team.

Um, yes I do. I'm pretty sure that when he buys a business, he knows who the principals are, even though he doesn't actually run the team. He doesn't run the Avs or the Nuggets either but I'm pretty sure he knows the GM and coach of those teams.

I know that the Rapids are the red-headed stepchild of his organization but come on, you actually think he doesn't know the coach of one of his teams?

I would not doubt that he does not know who the coach is for one minute.
The only reason I think he knows who the other coaches and GM's are is because they are proven winning teams! Once the Rapids take the cup I am sure he will know who they are.

Disagree ... I'm sure he knows who's coaching his team ... and I'm sure he follows his own team more than a casual fan.

So where did the "red-headed stepchild" thing originate anyway? I've always wondered, since I was one. Talk about growing up with a complex!

I have no idea. Just one of those sayings that I always heard my dad say and I just started using it. I certainly didn't want to contribute to any complex you might have.

No more redhead complex here! :D 5'9 chick with flaming red hair makes for a great target player in front of the goal.
