Before the season, I signed up for all the e-mail updates from each team. I got one from the MetroStars today announcing a clearance sale from their team store. To me, this is good news because it might mean new and improved merchandise. Sure, they could be just trying to clear inventory, but this could signal some different gear next year.
At MLS gear I couldn't find any current replica jerseys for sale - I didn't check all the teams though. The latest Eurosport did not have any MLS replica jerseys for sale either. I hope you're right and I also hope MLS is doing this montsh earlier than in years past so the new replica shirts will be ready at or before the beginning of the season. One can hope.
The Kappa ball is no longer in stock at Eurosport as well. They also don't anticipate any more to be in stock either. I think a rumor was on this board about the ball being changed as well. This could back that up.
That's strange about Eurosport, because I just got my latest catalog here at my deployed location (so it's maybe three weeks old), and it has MLS strips on the inside back cover...all the teams minus New England and San Jose, which haven't been in for a while if I recall correctly.
And if the World Cup and Nike's history are any indicator, the kits will either: A) All look the same B) Copy a current Nike design I have the US 2002 jersey, so it's not like I hate Nike. I'd just like them to show some more creativity and orginiality.
