Unbelievable. Should that happen, I really and truly hope that two things happen: First, that that FA actually grows a pair and tells Blatter that this is a totally unacceptable situation, and that a competition where a trophy is involved takes precedence over FIFA's "patting itself on the back" celebration. Second, and more likely, I hope Arsene just lets Blatter have it. If Blatter thinks that the "Club vs. Country" row was bad before, do this and you'll see some of the most powerful men in football, including some of the players, decide to sit out some of the bigger international games.
I think that, if this should happen, FIFA will have the good sense to either a.) pick two other countries, or b.) reschedule. Wouldn't it be great if our players told them to shove it?
