Best rant of the week. Kudos, you won BS.

But misplaced, I think, as both the Camp Fire and the Park Fires amply illustrate.

I have a soft spot for Smokey as he was a regular at the DC zoo when I was in my pre-pubescent zoo-going youth. I saw him half a dozen times growing up. (Unlike the pandas which I have never seen in maybe a dozen visits to the zoo. Those f*****s are always sleeping/hiding when I am there.)

40 years ago the greatest film in the history of cinema was released. It's all been downhill since then.

I heard on the radio this morning that burning debris, like leaves and twigs (which, of course, get out of control), is THE No. 1 cause of forest fires in Wisconsin.

I stand corrected and I have been humbled by that bastard fake bear.

We don't have the exact date for it, but 30 years ago (November 1994) GeoCities started - websites went live in 1995.

December 31, 1988 the Fog Bowl was played in Chicago. I still remember watching it on TV and it really was nearly impossible to tell what was happening on the field.
