This country works great for me! Yay! I think I'm in the majority...

Just so Mel doesn't think that I'm not constantly thinking of his needs.

Actually, going with this thread's title, I'm actually in the majority (the majority that got out and voted, anyway). I guess that means that there is some huge bloc of "Friend's of Mel" who forgot that the election was in November?

Doesn't news travel to "Gumdrop Mountain", Mel, or does it get lost in the translation when being converted to Elvish?

Just because Diebold counted votes from The Sims(TM) doesn't mean you're in the majority.

    /pint of bitter, please

I would reckon that the country works great for a minority, but works OK for a majority.

If it was great for a majority, there would be little bickering.

If it was not OK for a majority, we might see some real upheaval.

I'm guessing we're somewhere in between (probably like "it could be lots better but that means I have to get off the couch, and Friends is on soon, so I can't be bothered"). This can make you happy or sad depending on whether you're an optimist or a pessimist.

Yeah, the 53% majority of the 59% of voters who could vote and actually voted.

CM, just for fun you should start a thread on what the US would be like if the majority of posts on BS were true.

Things like, "Blue states forced to go to church at gun point."

The other 41% could have voted. It's their own damn fault, they have no right to bitch about anything for the next 2 years (and no right to bitch about Bush at all). (If they had to work all day or whatever, that's what absentee ballots are for)

You're wrong here, he actually speaks Mellish, an obscure dialect that requires two superfluous phrases for every meaningful phrase in a sentence.

The country works reasonably well, in fact so well, that we can survived the past four years of incompetent leadership like W is providing. I have some doubts about the next four years, though. I think we will see a significant shift of power and wealth away from middle and upper-middle class Americans over the next few years, and I think many, many Americans will regret their choice of candidate in 2004. This downward trend will be driven by debt and by war.

George Bush re-elected, Michael Moore shaved and in a suitcoat and tie, Daschle gone and Nancy Pelosi sorrowful, and most liberals in tears!

Good Gawd man...Christmas comes early for Conservatives! And Ann Coulter is still single! Things are great! This country works great for me!

Is Donovan responsible for the falling dollar?

No, and none of his former teammates are responsible for the falling Ruiz either.

And she is gonna stay single because the good looking, hunky, possible guys are all liberals, and they won't touch her with a stick. The anal retentive, privatize soc serc conservatives that think she is cool generally can't get wood. They are the drooling "Republican Club" weenies that hotties like Coulter won't give the time of day to. Sucks to be you, or in this case; Doesn't suck, if ya know what I mean.

Her only hope is to go lezzie, and even then I think she is without likely possibilities.

Yuck. With 290,000,000 people in the country, surely there's a better conservative postergirl than that?

Kellyanne Conway (formerly Fitzpatrick) maybe? She's falen off lately, but she used to approach "cute." If ITN or McGuirk want to chase her down and help her marriage end like half of most, this President and CEO of the polling company™, inc./WomanTrend lists her European residence first on her website, submitting "Kellyanne...is married, and resides in Vienna, Virginia and New York City."
