I really hope it doesn't turn into a farce, but it looks like it is going that way :(

AFC is screwed and in a way it's poetic justice for Bin Hammam and the rest of their so called management team. They will not make any money, nor will the sponsors and will be very pissed. Maybe we can use it to oust Bin Hammam & Co. and bring about real change.

LOL. FCMB, dealing with facts isn't Libbey's strongest point. A sock, maybe? :D

Yes. When a quarter of the countries at the tournament didn't have to qualify it's always going to be a bit of a farce.

To be fair, Indonesia and Thailand would probably qualify for the AC anyways... more malaysians show up for the Man utd tour than whole group stages of the AC...

    indonesia malaysia thailand and vietnam.
four teams that are not quite at world standard yet.
i would not be surprised if they can't pass the group stage lol.

    btw.
if those teams can't make to the round of 16.
no one gonna watch the games lol...

Um well that's a relief .... they already have made the round of 16... as there are only 16 teams in the Asian cup! :D

PS: I think maybe you meant... "quarterfinals" ;)

The day they chose 4 hosts I knew this was going to be a poorly organized tournament.

They should let well prepared countries with world class stadiums and organization arrange the Asian Cup. Countries like South Korea or Japan.
