The Dynasty 7 The Upstarts 0 What did you expect? Boilermakers complete successful season A succesful season for Purdue? Who would have guessed? They realized the dream that many teams have: to advance far enough in the national tournament to get drubbed by a good team. I'm a little impressed, but I still won't ease up on my criticism of Purdue; they're still Boilermakers.
UCLA 1, Kansas 0 UCLA at home beats Kansas 1-0. http://uclabruins.ocsn.com/sports/w-soccer/stats/112103aaa.html

gators- lady vols wow. what a finish, eh? florida 1 - tennessee 0 kellgren scores on a PK in the last minute of regulation to advance the gators to the elite 8. i would love to hear from ppl who were at the game about that foul at the end ... was it really PK worthy??? elaine
I missed the call. I was getting ready for OT, so I was walking down the stairs to the bathroom. Literally 5 seconds later, I heard a loud roar. I saw the PK go in, but missed the actual foul. From what I heard, it was a good call, Fulton was clearly taken down in the box. I'll have to wait for the Gatorzone show on Tuesday to see the replay to see if it was a good call or not. I do know that earlier in the match, Fulton was taken down and it wasn't called. Maybe it was a makeup call? Florida deserved this win, they dominated the match, save for about 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half, when UT controlled play. Otherwise, the Gators controlled play, they outshot and outplayed UT across the board. Both defenses played well, the Gators made it exciting at times, giving balls away, but UT had only one good scoring chance that hit the cross bar. Gators hit the cross bar twice, neither team got a break in that area. Kellgren took the PK today, first one all year that Floyd hadn't taken. I guess after she missed vs. Ole Miss last week, it was Ashley's turn. Her 3rd straight game winning goal. All in all, it was a beautiful day for soccer and I'm happy with the outcome. I expected a much more physical battle today, but it wasn't like the last 2 times they played. Other results: BYU advances on PK's over Villanova. Scoreless heading to PK's, BYU made all 5, Villanova missed 1 to send the Cougars to the elite 8. http://byucougars.com/soccer_w/filings/0000004510_res.html

FSU/WVU Anybody know anything about the Florida State- West Virginia game or where I could find current info?
Re: FSU/WVU Yes. Go to W Virginia's website: http://www.msnsportsnet.com/index.cfm# Look at the orange right hand "multimedia" column. There are links to live stats or to streaming audio. There's a charge for the audio, but you can get a free 2 week trial. In the 65th minute, it's FSU 2 -1 WVa.
Portland - Santa Clara is starting now. Live stats on the Pilots website: http://www.portlandpilots.com/livestats/wsoccer/xlive.htm It's still ludicrous that one of these teams will get knocked out before the quarters .
Portland - Santa Clara scoreless and headed into overtime. A great MLS Cup just ended too, but I guess that score shouldn't get posted here.
Two saves by Broncos GK Julie Ryder, who is a Soccer Buzz Freshman of the Year candidate. The game stats for the teams were virtually even. It's too bad either had to end their season this way. In related news, there was a shot of the Earthquakes Jeff Agoos at the MLS Cup with "We Miss You Clive" on his shirt. All credit is due Portland for such a great season without him.
