I knew we would! It's because he deflated his value after saying that he doesn't shoot at opportune times!
Spanish media and Barca forums. It's a joke. Arsenal were mugged again, this is why the club needs Dein or someone like him because Friar sucks at this.
I disagree, but that's just my opinion. It is one thing to be critical of certain things: It is another to be critical of every aspect of the club. I guess to me it sounds like: Person A: I love Tony's BLT sanchwiches. Person B: I really love Tony's BLT sandwiches too. I just wish he would use turkey bacon instead of pork bacon. Also, the lettuce is too old and is not crunchy. The bread also has a weird taste to it, and the tomatoes give me the runs. Tony charges way too much for them as well, but besides that I love them. Person A: Are you sure you like Tony's BLT's? Person B: How dare you question how much I like them! I like them just as much as you do. That's probably not a perfect analogy, but I am sure you get my point.
I dont know the love for Dein, tbh... remember the Baptista deal in 2005? as for the price... it kind of goes back to what I have been saying for a while... we dont sell our stars for big profits for the most part because we dont need the money... 12 million for Hleb isnt THAT bad tho... as he will have no position with Barca... the irony here is that Hleb was talking about being liberated because Henry was gone... well Hleb, I got a surprise for you: "Hi Alex" "OH NOES!!!"
I seriously wonder what the hell is wrong with some of these guys. I can't even wrap my mind around why they think it makes sense for them to leave Arsenal for some of these places/situations.
Seems to be happening a lot to Arsenal lately. I don't mind selling Hleb, but when he is being sold for less than Nani and Anderson than I have a problem with it. The club mismanaged Flamini, it's mismanaged Hleb....what's next? Are we now going to sell Adebayor to Milan for just 20 million? Wouldn't surprise me at this point. Friar sucks at negotiating.
Nani and Anderson were 18 and 19 respectively when they moved to United... and are seen as having huge futures, no? Hleb is 27, and is not really a world class player, no? maybe he becomes it now at Barca, but the price doesnt bother me too much... especially since Hleb has wanted out for some time and everyone knew it... mismanaging, Flamini, I agree with to a point... as I dont think the club really had any intention on keeping him until he had that great season... but I do feel they waited tooo long to try and negotiate with him (I remember Wenger saying he would start negotiations with Flamini in December)...
Yet after the fact Flamini said once the season started he was intent on holding out till the end to see what happened. He said he would've listened to offers from Arsenal last summer, as if to paint the Gunners in a poor light. The fact being, though, that obviously any offers Arsenal made then would not have been near what Flamini was receiving from Milan this spring. So in essence he was slighting Arsenal for not paying Milan-like money starting this past season.
that is also true... tbh, I think he was full of shyt in that interview... when he was transfer listed and the only club to show interest was Birmingham, we could have got him for a low price then... and I know he would have taken it... I dont believe he was in the plans VIVA DIABY!!! VIVA SONG!!
Plus, it's not like his role can't easily be replaced. Now whether we DO that or not is an entirely different story, but it's not like he was a world-class player, either.
Emanuel Anybuyers? If someone said Milan would chose EA over Gaucho I'd inquire whether they'd bumped thier head but Rotundinho looks... um... rotund, sadly.
When did the word critical become hate? I doubt he hates every aspect of the club as well, but it is pretty well documented that he has been critical of every aspect. Anyways, it's just my opinion, and I am entitled to have one. Unlike others, I won't try to force you to agree with me.
I am surprised how many people are acting like Ronaldinho is past it. I still believe right now he is still one of the top five players in the world, and when if he gets his form back, he is almost guaranteed to be one of the top two. The way I see it, he is coming off an injury-plagued season and is a little overweight; however, he is switching clubs and is motivated to prove people that doubt him wrong. He is still fairly young. I think he has a hell of a lot to offer, and I am surprised more teams are not taking the chance on him...I mean his choices are Man City or UEFA Cup?? It's a slap in the face really.
Time for a new thread. Hopefully the next one will have some transfers TO Arsenal and not just talk of transfers out.
As a fan of his, there's more to it than that. There is with all of Deco, Eto'o and Ronaldinho, it's not just that there level of performances dropped but also they seemed to suddenly lack any motivation and discipline. Ronaldinho and Deco both seem to decide they weren't going to play all the second half last season.
We need to get whoever is in charge of sales at Lyon. They seem to always command top dollar (euro, pound, whatever) for their players.
