Little known fact: It was always Thiago's dream to play for a legendary genius in the Premier League. But when Brendan Rodgers wasn't interested ... /S

Reminds me of a comment about another first match of a player who turned out not to badly. After scoring a hat trick against the bitters a comment was made. “He’s too ecclesiastical for them!” Ian StJohn.
He certainly has his history on his side and in this match, a confidence booster against 10 men he looks competent. As the passing video shows his positioning was excellent given the room he had and a more than fair amount of the passes were the result of back passes to him while we were sparing for an opening. Yeah, a good first match confidence booster for him and us.
Tested positive for covid. What a drag. Wonder what the ripple effect might be with the rest of the squad?
So isn't it possible he's "had" it for 2 weeks and has given it to numerous other people? EL qualification dictates a forfeit if a team can't field a side in a match, what is EPL protocol should this occur? Isn't it possible that half of the first team has this now and must be quarantined?
Probably not. If they are using PCR tests (which is likely), most people will present positive between 2-5 days after being exposed. It may take up to 10-14 days to test positive. But the window where you may be infectious is only about 2 days before displaying symptoms, and this doesn’t really change much if you are asymptomatic (it doesn’t sound like Thiago is asymptomatic).
Liverpool said Thiago "has exhibited minor symptoms of the virus but is in good health and is getting better". A statement on the club's website added: "The club has, and will continue to follow, all protocols relating to COVID-19 and Thiago will remain in self-isolation for the required period of time." "It is the choice of each individual whether they reveal publicly the outcome of a Covid-19 test," said Liverpool first-team doctor, Dr Jim Moxon. "We have followed all the protocols to the letter and Thiago is OK. He will be self-isolating now as per the guidelines and hopefully he'll be back with us soon."
Don't know what they do, but if it were up to me I would be paying to test all of the first team squad every day? (to minimise chances of transmission)
I'd adopt a Finnish dog and name him Sami. https://www.sciencealert.com/dogs-d...an-detect-covid-19-with-near-perfect-accuracy
absolutely, but at the rate we're losing players, we need him and all the others back asap, not at a turtle's pace. not his fault of course, but damn frustrating.
It’s also frustrating that Richarlson has returned from his 3 game suspension, when his horror challenge has cost Thiago way more than 3 games.
It's also (still) frustrating that Prickford did not even get a slap on the wrist for his "horror challenge" that essentially cost VvD his season!
