Jonny, what is this based on? What is definition of porspect; some of these guys hold regular first team spots, some bounce between developmental team and first, and some have never played a pro game.

I doubt that Adu, however promising, gets in any squad today over Kaka (S.Paulo) who doesn't appear on your list.

The article only references Adu. The "bench" doesn't exist in the article.

Though he's pretty good in Championship manager, I find it hard to believe Du Wei is actually that good. Not that I've ever seen him play before, or really heard anything at all about him. In other words, this comment has no basis in reality, and is based on opinions formed from his nationality and ratings on CM.

I think Freddy could take them all by himself.

I would swap Portillo of Real Madrid for Cavenaghi.
Philipe Mexes, the Auxerre CB not in there?

BTW Torres is the pick of that 11.

Get real fellas- Freddy Adu is 13yo, most of these players are already playing top flight senior football.

Priced at $35 million, Robinho should be on that list.

No disrespect to your fancy logic, but a club can put any amount on a buy- out clause they like, its not an estimate of his actual value; its more symbolic than anything else- 'our boy is not for sale'.
Besides a players' value changes with the market. But Robinho in the 5 or 6 games I've seen of him is a terrific talent, and assuming he can put some meat on those bones should be playing for one of the elite european clubs in a few years.
But its good to be aware of the hype, I remember Denilson and Ronaldinho were hyped the same and they are great players but none can match the hype.
