Wonder what will happen to them once the Turks get involved.

Boy, a month ago things were looking very bad for the Kurds and very good for Turkey. Things have switched in a hurry.

That sounds like dead Kurds to me. I really have to wonder - will they get screwed again, like they did after Gulf War I, A New Hope?

The Kurds are not going to get slaughtered by the Turks. Turkey has already been warned to keep their hands off. They'll be allowed into northern Iraq only to stop a herd of Kurds from refugeeing into Turkey.

Are the Kurds going to off the AQ guys currently training in their territory? That would be nice of them.

If we stop saying "poor kurds killed by saddam" and actually try to solve their problem instead of ignoring it maybe they will.

Well, we can start by not repeating GHWB's incitement of them to rebel against Saddam and then hanging them out to dry when they followed his advice. That was completely despicable on King George I's part.

Too bad everyone thought Saddam couldn't survive the coup, and do we even have to talk about that terrible cease fire they rushed schwarzkopf into signing? GHWB didn't intentionaly leave them on the hook.
