I'm not sure where it has been posted but I have been told that there are some messages related toa security meeting taking place at RFK this evening. There was originally a meeting scheduled but there were too many key people that were unable to attend so we are in the process of rescheduling (likely the first week of February). Again, there is no meeting tonight. When a new one is scheduled I will contact specific representatives from each supports club to attend. Thanks and sorry for any confusion. Stephen
Fixed your post. Sorry, Stephen, no personal dig at you or the team. I just don't think CSC really takes any of this seriously, and if a meeting ever occurs I'll be shocked.
I hope you're wrong about this Mike, and from the way that DCU's front office has treated us in the past, I'd be willing to bet that the meeting goes off as planned. Say what you want about the team, the front office is aces, bar none. Plus I'd be willing to say that the CSC has new interest in this meeting in lieu of recent events.
I think a later meeting date might improve the chance of a real dialog with CSC. If a meeting is held now there's a risk of little change occuring on opening day. They need to know that the actions of their employees during the 2002 season will not be forgotten or dismissed.
Mike I know you have grounds to be skeptical and I too trust CSC somewhat less further than I can throw them. I am pretty sure the meeting will happen and I am absolutely sure Stephen wants to move past this. I spoke to him on Monday myself and he was very interested in getting this meeting going and having some real results. In fact, CSC was not the hold up on the meeting, two of the fan leaders could not make it and Stephen felt that their interests would not properly be represented. I am with Chico and Marshall on this, I think we will have the meeting and in hindsight, the cancelation of this particular meeting won't matter. of course if i am wrong feel free to say "i told you so"
