England and Liverpool ace Michael Owen and his girlfriend Louise Bonsall are expecting their first baby.Louise, 22, who Michael met when the pair were at primary school, is four months pregnant.

The striker, also 22, said all the goals in the world did not compare to news of the arrival.

"I've had a few exciting moments in my career but nothing that compares to how I felt when Louise told me the news. "Michael said.

'No marriage plans'

Louise said: "We are both really delighted and excited at the prospect of being parents for the first time."

The couple said they have no immediate plans to marry.

Owen and former bank clerk Louise have been dating since they were 14 when they met at their north Wales primary school.

The childhood sweethearts grew up in Hawarden, north Wales, where Owen owns a luxury home near his parents and four siblings.

'Delighted'

It is expected that the couple will bring up their first child in a £1.6m Tudor manor house in Northop, Flintshire, north Wales.

A spokesman for Liverpool Football Club said everyone there was "absolutely delighted".

"Michael is a very popular figure in the dressing room and everyone on the staff at the club is delighted for him and Louise," he said.

 

Yeah, but when it's on the same person you've been scoring on since you were 14, you tend to know which way she's going to go.
