    Scores an equalizing PK:

Misses on the chance for the lead:

YB is now in play. Siebatcheu missed the lead after Blum's cross.

With Lugano playing hapless Lausanne next, they're likely out of the Conference spots and down to fourth. Brutal for a team used to winning their league with a month to spare. Pefok is a bright spot though.

Not to get too far O/T into NT discussion but who are the other strikers who were good or great at club level but came up short when playing for their country?

Way way too soon to write Pefok off!
Twellman was great in MLS, never did much for the USA

And gives himself a very nice hockey assist with the backheel through the defence for the AM to run onto.

Young Boys' season may be a bust, but he's doing very well. Golden Boot winner well in fact.

Wow. 26 goals between the club and cl seasons. He needs to move on to a stronger league. Big ups.

Disagree. If I learned one thing from Jozy’s career it was that I like having at least one American striker in a Euro league where they can score at will. Waaaaay more fun than complaining about the teammate that actually scores getting more minutes.

Man the crosser has forever to line the cross and and half the time Theoson isn't really marked in the box.

Like 70% of his goals are like this.

Does he only ever score from PKs?

Nope. Only 5 in the league and one in CL qualifying.

A chance to hear Jordi in French & German:

I think he remarked once how it's tough learning English when you end up in the German-speaking part of Switzerland instead of the French-speaking part.

His goal tally this season is very anti YA. But leaving with an injury is right on par. :-(. Hopefully not too serious.

At least it was not a no-contact injury: he collided with Milton Valenzuela and came injured out of it. It seems to be a muscular thing, so nothing serious, but a final report is yet to come.

Terrible timing. Young Boys is about to lose even their Confederations spot, which would be a final touch on the disaster of a season they've had. From being the Champions Swiss club to not making European competitions at all, it'd be a big fall.
