Pefok assist on the second goal to take the lead back.

No it’s not in the Top 5 leagues but……. Pefok is having a Top 5 YA Season maybe of all-time. It’s slightly under the radar, too. The guy knows his strengths and knows them well. He doesn’t need to go outside his comfort zone when his current zone produces goals and lots of them! Great season for Pefok. I applaud him.

So many YAs losing their starting jobs or unable to stay healthy. Nice to see a guy in a LONG run of great form. He should be rewarded with a US call up.

Guy scores pretty much every game these days. We can talk about his lack of skills outside the 18 or if he fits in GGG’s system, but the dude is ballin out and burying balls in the back of the net. He better be callled in next month for the final 3 USMNT quallies.

8g/2a his last 5 league games versus 7g/1a in his first 16.

The Swiss league is easy as hell if you're a center forward on a decent team, but that's a big uptick in form even taking the mediocre opposition into account.

Not like anyone else is making a case for themselves at club level either.

If he can sustain something around a goal contribution per game come March, he's a no-brainer call-up.

Best season for a YA striker (15 goals, 3 assists) since Jozy's 12/13 season with AZ (23 goals).

At that point the Eredivisie was ranked #7 in UEFA, though, while the Swiss Super League is ranked #14 now.

Yet our strikers from higher rated leagues can't score against USL level players in CONCACAF. I rather have a guy banging them in whatever league he plays in than a guy who can't find the goal even with a Google Map app in his more esteemed league.

Agreed. I'd start Pefok next qualifier.

But I wouldn't bet on him being significantly better than what we have tried.

I would be very surprised if he isn’t called. I also don’t know that he will look very good in our system but I would like to call his number off the bench if we’re pressing for a goal. He’s such a monster in the air.

He saved our bacon against Honduras so he clearly has a role even if off the bench.

With Wes out it will be even more important to have another target on set pieces. He is a no brainer call up for the next window.

has there been more news about this?... I haven't heard why this happened, with the team essentially secured out of 1st place, but still deep in the hunt for europe spots from 2nd place.'

was it a locker-room thing? this Ventta cat only has u19 experience... seems an odd "must have him now before he gets snapped up in the summer" type of signing.

Young Boys have waltzed through the league for the past 4 seasons, winning it by 15, 20, 8, and 31 points. Now they're 15 back with 11 matches to play. Massive underperformance from them this season.

True if they have the same players. Do they? (I'm not being a wise guy, I don't follow them).
